Will he get his stripes???

I got this clown as a maroon, but as you can see he is much more brown or rusty color. And his fins seem trimmed in black. I guess this is a color variation? Also, he has no full bars. Only hints of them. Is this another variation, or will they develop over time?

The bars had not fully grown and clownfish like these are called misbars. Judging by its size, it is already too old and will not finish developing the stripes.

I heard that tank raised maroons will develope this way sometimes while the wild caught are usually fully banded.

I noticed today that what he does have for bars has a slight yellow tint....
