It could happen but it's unlikely. I hate crabs for that very reason... They get on everything and make a mess.

They can, indeed. They are opportunistic feeders that I often find bothering my leather corals.

well it depends on what type of hermit crab.. blues are usually ok.. but can every once and a while.. reds are ok too, but the same.. greens and tans are prolly the worst for this, besides the giants.
