my tomato clown has ich, I"m about to stick it in the QT. Is it ok to leave my invertabrates and live rock in my show tank?? if I keep my clown in the QT for 30 days. will the ich die in the show tank if theres still invertabrates and live rock in it?? Basicly what I'm asking is does Ich only live on fish or can it live in live rock or on ivertabrates? thanks :(

the ich will die in a few weeks if there are no hosts...the only host for ich is a fish...so in short....take all the fish out (even the ones without visible spots) and QT them...leave the show tank alone...after a few weeks (30 days is good) you can transfer the fish...do hypo in the QT tank to treat the infected fish.

some invertebrates can play intermediate host to ich in its larval form <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" />
fortunately some intertebrates like filter feeders feed on these larval
