Will ick feed on dead fish?

I am doing hypo, my 125Gal has been fishless for 3 1/2 weeks. BUT, I just relised I have been feeding my carpets with silver sides. I also have been ruberbanding a silver side to a rock for my crabs and shrimp. Did I just screw up? I did not even think about the silversides being "fish" Will the ick survive in the tank on dead silver sides? :notsure:

Not to worry about this. Parasites are not going to live on dead fish, especially those sold in grocery stores. Now absolutely fresh fish that hav been "caught" and sold to maket rapidly, maybe, but not likely.
