ya its a reef tank i have him in there with a snowflake and some clowns. he seems to be doing fine.:notsure: :notsure: :notsure:

No doubt about it, he will need a bigger tank in no time, but for now, it may be okay. Keep an eye on your tank parameters. Lions create large amounts of waste and can greatly increase your levels if you are not careful and do not take the correct precautions. Also, keep an eye on your clowns. If they are small enough to go in his mouth, they will. He may not show interest right now, but when he gets hungry, those clowns might be a convenient food source to satiate his hunger.

Well remember, if you keep him well fed, then you will be feeding him A LOT of food (frozen food hopefully). My lion would eat food everytime I went up the tank if I really wanted to feed him that often, but you really should not overfeed a lionfish. And if you do feed him a lot, there will be a lot of waste and you will have to do water changes much more frequently so that the nitrates stay at a minimum.
