i have 3 small fishes in a uncycled 20L gallon tank and i need some bacteria. I already put a cupfull of sand from my existing tank and doing about 1 gallon of water change a day. But yet i feel this is not enough. Can put like 2 pieces of live rock during hyposalinity. Will the live rock die because of the low salinity level? Thanks

Yes, the LR will die off in hyposalinity. Use a cupful of your sand from your main tank [making sure to pick out any critters in the sand and returning them to the main tank before placing the sand in the hospital]. Even so, this is not going to be enough to keep the tank from cycling.
What are your water readings?
