will maracyn two hurt

Will it hurt to add Maracyn-two to a treat a tank I am also treating with hyposalinity, if their is nothing besides ick killing the fish (3 so far)? I have no inverts, LS, or LR in the tank. It is my show tank so will I be able to get the Maracyn out with the protien skimmer to add back the LR and inverts later? Please help this is driving me crazy. Also will a water change get the trates and ammonia down???

It sounds like you are having a good deal of problems and don't exactly know what to do about them....I am hesitent to give advise, unless I know exactly what has happened and what is going on now.
Why are you treating with hyposalinity and why do you want to treat with M-2. Give some details!

It started out with what I was told was ick. It looked like salt sprinkled all over the fish. It getting a HT set up and catching the fish(a job in itself) I had 4 fish die the fins started splitting and the coral beauty got a cloudy look around his head and his eyes looked cloudy. So I thought it may have gotten fin rot or something due to stress of setting up Ht and weakness due to ick. any way I am now down to a sgt. major and a blue damsel and they appear ok. They are in HT with hypo and will stay there for 4 - 6 weeks and then move back to main tank. Then I will use the HT as a QT tank as I slowly add fish. I know now that I added the fish fast and did several things wrong. those have been corrected for future fish. Thanks.
