Will my filter & salinity reader be sufficient?

Hi,
I have just set up my new tank, its been running for a week now and is going great, It is a 78L (20gallon) corner tank, it just has the standard filter in there, will this be sufficient? It is a bit surrounded by rock as we could only really put the rock in the back corner to make it look nice, the filter is right in the middle. Is there another type of filter I could by? Something that is internal? Any suggestions?
Also , I just have a cheap salinity reader thing (the thermometer type one that floats in the water), whats the best one that you can get for a reasonable price, or is this one going to be ok?
Thanks for any help offered.

the filtration depends on what you want to do. to be honest, as long as you have live rock in your tank most other filtration isn't needed for something like a fish only tank other than a skimmer. if you're going to do corals (and most likely you are based on the size of your tank) you'll want to look into a sump/refugium for under the tank.
as for your swing arm hydrometer, it's sorta a waste of money. they lose their accuracy relatively quick (if it ever had any to begin with). you'll want to get a refractometer with ATC (automatic temperature compensation)

bah, get the cheapo $50 USD version from (a competitor) :D (the blue one!) I use that one for my business and I have never had any problems.
Happy reefing!

Would I really need to get an under tank sump/filter? Don't really have space for that sort of thing, we would want to get a few corals in the tank soonish, can they survive with the fish on the standard filter?
