Will my lights do?

I have had flourescent lights on my 120 G tank for two years. I do change them every eight months or so. I have two fixtures with a combination of 50/50 and 10,000 K in each. Each bulb is 30watts, not a big deal. My LR seems to be dying off and I have some green algea, not bad.
Yesterday, I bought one light fixture with what they call a Power Compact Smart Lite. It is described as the first true 50% daylight 50% actinic bulb, 96 watts. I put it next to one of my old ones and it sure does look different. Will this save my LR and change some of the growth in my tank? Is it a good light? Should I buy another for the other side or should I look for something different?

how deep is your 120. I would suggest another PC light. I run *)w of NO lighting on my 55 and I can notice my coralline dropping off too. I am upgrading to a 120 and will be using 4-6 96w PC bulbs.

My tank is 2 ft. deep and six ft long. The LC are not in the very bottom but approximatly 3/4 of the way down.
