Will my LR be ok for another 8 or so hours?

Tomorrow I should get my shipment of LR from SWF. Unfortunately I wont be here to take care of it right away. But I will have someone here to sign for it. Will it be ok to leave it for an extra 8 hours or so as long as the box doesn't get opened? Should I have them opem the box? Spray it with water (salt or fresh)? Will I have to recure it before I put it in the tank or will I just have to make sure to watch the levels? Help.

Too hard to say for sure... It all depends on how well cured the rock was,how long it is out of water,how many lbs there is,How big your tank is,and so on and so on....If your tank is just starting out,then it will probably be ok to just put it in.If it is an established tank,you will be safer to put it in a seperate tank,or similar container with saltwater and a powerhead for a couple weeks and watch the levels.TOO MANY VARIABLES...

I would not take the chance of putting it right in your tank. It has been shipped so there is die off. The longer you wait the more die off there will be.
