Will my tank cycle again?

Hello! Let me start by saying my tank had been up and running for several months and has been doing fine. I decided though that I didn't want the CC in the bottom of my tank any more, that I wanted sand. I was getting due for another water change, so I figured that was as good a time as any. I got one of the big rubbermaid containers, siphoned the water from my tank, and transferred all my LR and inverts to the tub, along with my heater and powerhead. I then just dumped all my CC, replaced it with sand from the LFS, and started refilling the water. I started back with 10 gallons of distilled, and finished filling the tank with the water that had been in it originally.
This was done over the weekend, and so far I've had no signs of ammonia, the inverts are doing great, and everything looks good. So my question for you guys is if you think I will still get a cycle? I mean, it's the same 30lbs of LR, and roughly 15-18 gallons of the original water. Will adding the sand cause anything?
Thanks in advance for any replies,
David

You probably won't see another cycle. Others on this board have done the same thing and didn't have any problems. Since you kept as much of the water as you could and all the LR, you still have all of your beneficial bacteria. The only issue might be how much "gunk" was in your CC.
