will nailpolish leach back into my water?

im considering using nail polish to seal up some of my epoxy coated magnets. if epoxy is safe to use, once dried wouldnt nailpolish be ok?

i guess your right but i would think it would be ok, i dont think im going to be able to remove these magnets from my powerheads thats why im trying to put a coating on them with out causing harm to my reef

Try superglue gel, probably will turn white when cures though. I don't know if the nail polish stuff will be ok or not, sorry. You can get 2-part epoxy glue from hobby shops or hardware stores also, can be messy if not used to using it though.

i really need a way to seal these up. i think it was super glue gel that corroded the epoxy on the magnets.

I can't say for certain, but I have used stuff from the hardware store that was listed for water use(2 ton strength, slow cure 30min), and I have use the stuff I build rockets out of, I think it is called "Great Planes" 15min(med cure) Epoxy. Have used both of these with no adverse effects. Sorry, I can't be of more help. I always let cure for a full day or two before using in the tank, I don't know if it matters or not.
