Will Porcupine Puffer eat smaller fish?

On most sites it says that Porcupine puffers won't eat smaller fish, like clowns, grammas, dwarf angel, wrasses.... Anyways does anyone have experience with porcupine puffers with any smaller fish?
Thanks

In all honesty I have found that if it will fit in their mouth they will eat it. I have tried raising baby Porks with other fish and sometimes that works out well. But to add a larger Pork with smaller fish the odds are against you. My favorite story along those lines is that when my 2 big porks were smaller I decided to add a pecula to their tank for more color figuring it was bigger then their mouths at that point. One night I am sleeping and I hear my wife screaming so I run out to find the 2 porks decided since it was to big for one mouth they would each take a end and play tug of war with it. Needless to say when I got them to let go it was to late for the clown.

My girlfriend had one and it ate 2 clowns, so i guess it can happen, better off if you get a small one to grow with the fish, might have luck that way.

Dosen't sound to good. If I do get one, I would add it very last and get a very small one. After hearing this I probably won't chance it.
Thanks

Something I read once has stuck with me and that is Puffers are such personable fish that they deserve a tank of their own. My 2 big porks have pretty much been alone the last 3 years until I decided that a 125 gallon tank had to have at least a couple of other fish in it. I tried a Niger Trigger first it got sick screwed up the tank and got the Puffers sick for the first time in their lives. It took 6 weeks to get them back to perfect health but I still wanted more fish in there. I next tried a Rock Beauty Angel about 4 inches (I choose good easy keepers don't I) and then I pushed the envelope again and added a adult Emperor Angel who got sick and died and again the tank had problems. The saga continued I got the Rock and Puffers healthy again in about 2 weeks and decided this time to add a Dianas Hogfish. This time all worked well everyone gets along and the tank has stayed healthy this time. I guess what I am trying to say is we are our own worst enemy. I know better but sometimes I just can't leave well enough alone (I have a suspicion I am not the only one who does this).

You are probably right!!! The urge for a second tank just keeps getting larger, but the check book keeps getting smaller. I think we all have this problem. :)
