will tangs cross-breed?

I have a yellow tang and a scopus tang, they have been in the same aquarium for over six months with no problems. In the last couple of days they have been swimming side by side, rubbing tails, and hanging out really close. Is it possibe that they are going through a mating process?

I belive hasq is correct, because I've wittnessed two male clown triggers doing that tail rubbing thing as part of a dominance/territoral dispute. It sure did look like courtship/mating rituals though! Actually, my humbug and domino damels do that all the time when i re-arrange decorations.
