No way to know for sure; but I'll bet that the shrimp are lunch. These are very normal food items for triggers.

i have seen my two cleaners but not my fire shrimp. he is shy so he might be hiding in the rocks. watched one of my cleaner shrimp climb on the pink tails back fin and work his way down one side and back down the other side. it was crazy! pink tail is 6-7 inches long and he let that shrimp walk all over him.

I was doing research on the blue jaws and shrimp is not there food in the wild. if they are not feed enough they do begin to become "curious" of other stuff in the tank.

the triggers are getting along great with everybody esp. the shrimp! the pinktail visits my cleaners quite often throughout the day. bluejaw is still a little skittish but doing great. i will post some new pics over the weekend
