Will they eventualy get along?

Hello, I'm new to the board and just started a new tank after taking a few years off. Anyway, I've always wanted a hummu and couldn't do it in my reef tanks so I decided on a 90 FO tank. Started the tank with w/d and 100lbs live sand. Bought a 3-4 inch hummu and 4 inch maroon clown to cycle the tank. The humma is extremely aggressive and going after the clown. I was told they would be ok but it doesn't seem like it. To save the Clown I created a tank divider and have them seperated while I cycle the tank.
After seeing the clown in the tank for a few weeks, will the Humma then be ok with him or will he always go after him. If not, I will then give the humma back after the cycle is over but he is a great looking fish.
Thanks!

Are your fish showing any other signs of stress from the cycle? Thats really early to be putting two good size fish in there.

No, they are both active and eating. My only concern is if I remove the divider and the trigger goes after the clown again.
The tank has been up for about 3 weeks, the fish in there for 2. So far they have been fine. I bought the large fish specificly for the cycle. I do not plan on any live rock, just the sand and the bio balls.

Do you have anything in there for the fish to hide in. Adding some rock, and creating some hiding places, may help reduce the aggression.

I have just a few peices of fake coral. Only 1 with a cave. I will be adding a little more, but my idea was to have a fairly open tank for the fish to swim around in.
Maybe these Huma's are just too mean! But there great looking. Pretty neat noise it was making when it was chasing the clown around. Sounding like a snap or something tapping on the glass.
