I just recieved my fish from saltwaterfish.com they arrived without incident with the exception my little clown dies the first day? this morning when I checked my tank I found 2 of my green chromis look like they have been injured when they arrived I did notice 2 white stripes on the one , but didn't think too much about it. this morning however, the 2 white stripes are red and anoher his belly has turned red. is this stress? normal? or have I got a problem? are these 2 fish going to die? :help:

That looks like a very common problem that I see with many chromis. Most do not live through it.
SWF.com will offer a credit for the fish. Just be sure to contact them, as soon as possible, please.

PLEASE contact Saltwaterfish.com immediately. I had the same problem. The green chromis will nip at the other chromis that have the red markings on them. I had 2 die this way, which I contacted saltwaterfish.com immediately and they gave me my code to get my fish on my next order.
I'm sorry to hear your loss, but SWF.com will reimburse you for it.

I did notify swf.com and asked me to send them back per their return policy. I just mailed them another fish that arrived in a very stressed state I am sorry to say he never made it to the QT. died during acclimation? I don't think I will send the chromis back, cost 6 dollars to send that one back to them the chromis cost less than that?

if you send them back via how they ask you to, it costs postage, my 2 chromis that died cost me about $0.39/ounce, and it was a total of 2 ounces thus $0.78.

thats fine however they get there. I added them to salt, triple bagged them and then used a regular envelope and it worked fine. Anyway you can get them there is better than taking the loss of both fish and cost.

my local lfs said that it all depends on where the chromis are caught from...he said tosteer clear from the ones from the philippenes b/c they are often improperly obtained....i had 8 of them three months ago in my 2 yr old 55 gallon w/ perfect water quality....and they all died off every other day...with the red sripe on them.....he said u can tell if they will die early on.....(if they swim in the same place the whole time)
