i am about to paint the room that my 75 gallon fish tank is located! i was reading the other night and this person painted the room and the fish died, what can i do to help them stay living through painting the room, i thought that maybe the air pumps would bring in the fums and kill the fish, what should i do?

Your probably using latex paint, right. Latex has little or no toxins in the fumes. Open the windows and use a fan to ventalate the room. If your really worried turn off the air pumps,or put the pump outside the window to draw fresh air and cover the tank with plastic. STEVE

I painted around my tank and had no problems at all. If you ventalate the room well or pump in fresh air to the tank you will be fine.
