Will they play together?

I have been wanting to add a cardinal bangaii to my 75 gal tank, and recently ran across a pajam cardinal that was cool too. Can I add one of each one or will they fight? I also have a yellow tang, dragon gobie, green damsel, blue headed wrasse and a pair of clown fish. Will they get along? As always, your comments are appreciated.

Actually both the cardinals you mention are shoaling fish which means they do better in groups of at least 2. I have had both and find that when there is only one it tends to be very shy and that does not make it to interesting in a tank. I think the Pajama is a cooler fish and a bit more active then the other.

I was considering 2 bangii's, but after reading about their breeding I wasn't sure about getting a pair. I guess the sentimental me has a hard time thinking of all of those babies ending up as dinner for my wrasse and tang. :( Originally I wanted 5 or 6 because I was told they school really well. Then I scaled down to wanting 2, then I started reading the breeding articles and  How are yours doing together? Maybe I'll do 2 of each. Thanks for the input.

Well I did it, I bought two pajama cardinals! They are pretty cool looking and are hanging out and enjoying their new home! Thanks for the input! :D

Good for you. You will find they will do much better in groups of 2 or more. The only way to get a true pair is to buy say 3 or 5 and watch and see if 2 hang together. You will find that PJ's are not the most active fish (they tend to hover and twitch a lot) but they are cool and once eating they are eating machines. Enjoy the new fish.
