will this fist list work? plus some other questions

the tank is a 100gal AGG.FOWLR
the fish i would like are:
huma huma
dogface
radiata
maroon
blue hippo
sfe
for the eel i have noticed that some tanks have pvc piping, is this essential or is a few crevasses and caves in the LR just as good?
also how deep should i make my sand bed to best suit this setup?

Trigger might kill the lion.
Trigger and possibly the puffer might outgrow the tank. 100 gallons is the absolute minimum for a Picasso trigger, IMO.
Just my two cents.

I personally would take out the hippo, simply due to the fact that with all those aggresive fish water quality wont be so great and this could stress the easily stressed hippo tang. Then ich problems will be a headache. One of the hardier tangs like sailfin, yellow, scopas, or even a large angel like koran, annularis, etc would be a better choice I think, although the hippo would work if you were religious about maintenance.

unfortunately the blue hippo is the price i pay for getting the tank. the deal with the wife

HaHa. Fair enough, I know how that is. Its quite possible to do, just need to keep an eye out.
