One last question for the night. How long can i keep the water i fixed up for a change without anything in it to circulate??

personally, i always prepare mine the night before at say liek 11pm then change the water the next day at like 8pm. i never circulate it just let it sit and maybe heat a little. making it the night before is good because it lets everything get mixed and if you need to add more salt/ water to make the correct salinity you can do it the morning after youve prepared the water with the whole day still lating for the water to set. sorry if im confusing! well good luck.
ps- Dont forget the chlor-out! i almost did once! that would have been a disaster! does this help? good luck!

Thanks flame, yes it helps. What i was gonna do was keep the water that was left from the mix and save til next water change... but i guess thats not a good idea.
Oh, and i buy my water.. so that way i won't forget the chlore-out!

I have left mixed water set for over a month with no ill effects.Just keep a tight lid on it,and remix it well before you use it...
