Two 250w halides you be more than enough (you could probably get away with 175s if you really wanted to), but I've havn't heard too many positive things about Hombby.
Maybe someone else will chime in.

And one's gotta wonder if, at that price, are the bulbs included?

i believe these are the odyssey fixtures. Do a search on this forum or google even and youll find alot of people had problems with them. If you change out the ballast and the bulbs that it comes with, itll be much better.
But you shouldnt have to buy new parts on a light fixture. better to spend the extra money now and get a better product.

Yeap. It even come with 2 free sets of extra lights. You can find them on ---- under metal halide lights for aquariums.

I have the 36" on my 65 gallon now, and had the 72" version on my 180. I had zero problems from either setup. I also have several friends that have the same lights with no troubles.
I replaced the bulbs with phoenix bulbs and it looks great. The older versions had alot of problems, but the newer ones are ok.
They may not be as good as a nice retrofit setup, but for the price( i paid 329 for mine) they are awesome.

Great. I have heard a lot of good and bad comments about these lights. My tank is really suffering from bad advices from the pet store guy. Unfortunately i don't know anybody where I live that has saltwater tanks. Curiously enough a lot of people has freshwater tanks in my building. Anyhow, thanks for this advice.
My tank is a 75gl and I am completely new on what to do. I had my tank for almost 18 months and still I don't really know how to make it beaitufull and healthy. I will appreciate any tips and thoughts. Gracias
