Will this lighting be sufficient

I have a 90 gallon tank that I am going to convert to a reef. I will be upgrading my 2 40 watt NO lights to an icecap 660 running 4 48" VHO lights. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help.
1. Currently I have to add about 1 gallon of replacement water a week as my NO lights are only on 6 hours a night. What can I expect with the icecap and 4 VHO lights. I have heard the icecap makes the lights cooler, but I'm not sure.
2. Where would you mount the icecap ballast, under the hood or inside the cabinet.
3. Would you actually use VHO for all the lights or would you use a combination of VHO and PC.
4. Will I need a canopy fan with this setup or is the icecap ballast cool enough where it won't raise the temperature of my tank.
5. I will using a retro kit and my canopy does not have a reflector. Do I need a reflector or should I just buy lights that have the reflector built in.
That's all my questions for right now, but I may have more later.
Thanks,
Tangman

1. You can expact to add more water dur to evaporation. The lights do run cooler with ICE-CAP compared to other VHO ballasts.
2. Mount the ballast on the backside of your stand. The more heat you can keep away from the water the better.
3. All VHO. You can add some PC if you want more light and would help but is not a necisity.
4. Depends alot on room temp. If your ambient temp is high your tank will also heat up. A fan will help pull cooler air across the lights and the top of the water which will also increase evaporation. My choice is to run a fan and also bump up the AC in that room.
5. Use both. An external reflector is a good thing to have. It will not only direct light but also help keep the top of the canopy cooler by acting like a heat shield. Then your fan will blow across and cool it. I say use both because the more light that hits the water the better. I use both.
Keep em coming :)

PS.
If I were you, I would seriously consider upgrading to Metal Halides... I could go into the whole reasons but..... Lets just say you'll be happy you did.....
