Will this lighting work??

I am converting my 55 gal. fowlr into a reef. My last issue is lighting I think I found what I want but I wanted to see if you guys think its a good choice. Coralife 48" Aqualite 4-65W and fan. with 10000K and True Actinic 03 So that should be a total of 260Watts. What do you think, is this going to be a good thing? Also if anyone has this light let me know what u think of it. Thnx

As long as you aren't planning on dedicating your reef to SPS and clams, you'll be fine with this light.
I had a 36" 2x96W Coralife PC hood. The price & quality of the hood was great, but the intensity of the PC bulbs wasn't enough for the SPS I added to my reef, so I was forced to upgrade to MH.

What kind of corals do you think would do good under this light? Just zoos and mushrooms?

What about green stars or pipe organ?

I would say that all of those corals you mentioned would be fine under the PCs.

Eventually you would want to upgrade anyhow you mine as well get something a little higher.

xenia should be fine. i have a 96w pc quad over my 15 and my xenia is growing like a champ
