Will this system work?

Right now I have an eclipse...finding out after i got going that this system is more for freshwater than salt. So I just ordered PC lighting 30" 130w and the guy at the LFS told me that if I get rid of the eclipse system and get an aqua c remora skimmer, that would be all that I need. Does this sound right? Its a 29gal tank with 30 lb LR and a 2-3" bed of LS. I hope to put coral in it sometime for now it just has some hermits, royal gramma, and a cc star fish. Let me know what you think about only having the skimmer.

first off glad to hear those 2 made it!
not sure what he means by getting rid of the eclipse system but the light you ordered will be suffice for a decent amount of corals.
and the aqua c remora is a good skimmer
