Definetly not! I like the fish you've chosen but for a 25 gallon tank, that is way over the edge. You should read the info on this site and on other sites about fish per gallon or inch of fish per gallon to learn how much is safe to put in your tank. Although hippos are very beautiful fish, they do get quite large over time. So I would research some more and look into smaller fish such as damsels, clowns, gobies, etc. or purchase a larger tank to house your fish.

I agree, there are quite a few fish you mention that will get too big for that size tank. Even when small, some of the inverts will make excellent meals to the fish. Looking over the compatability chart would be wise. Stay away from the damsels-too aggressive.
Welcome to the board, by the way! We don't mean to shoot down your ideas right away. Just trying to help you out and keep a successful tank, that's all. Keep the questions coming!! Talk to ya soon--Bob

hey Vinnie,
That is a bit to many fish for that tank. The harliquin will also eat the crab and shrimp. For the inverts you are thinking I would just get more rock and less fish. This will also allow you for future growth and additions.

The Hippo, the Lionfish and the Bass do not belong in a tank that small. I'd suggest maybe 2 of the 3 remaining fish.
You might do well to take a look at some of the invert packages they sell on this site to see some good combinations.

In a 25 gallon tank...I'd think that 3 small fish would be the max. You'll have kind of a large nanoreef. Maybe do a search using "nanoreef" for some ideas. Royal grammas (not two males...they fight), a mated clown pair, neon goby, etc...think small colorful fish.
Just because you can't have a lot of fish doesn't mean you can't have a stunning tank. Just concentrate on small, very colorful fish.
