Will This Work?

I have 2 pumps a MAG 7 and MAG 9.5 i want to set them outside behind the tank and have them setup this way in the pic. is it possible or do they have to be in water to work? also do they leak or will they leak.

My mag 9.5 said on the box internal or external so it should not leak if the inlet is threaded it is generaly a good sign that it can be used as an external mount pump.
Are you going to use them for just circulation. If so I don't know but I would think that you better split up the 9.5 that is a lot of water from one nozzle
