Hi i9 have been in an long struggle with hair algae on my 55 gal tank. SOO i went over board heres all my new equipment so pls tell me if itll get rid of it.
1.gramma 25 watt UV sterilizer
2.20 gallon sump in the making and going to put alot of macro algae in their.
3.flo deflector i thought it might help in some way
4.added 450 gph of flow in the tank in all making the flow around 1100 gph in my tank.

Those things won't make a large difference. You need to consider your water quality. What are your water parameters? Especially phosphates. Hair algae needs phosphate, so lowering it with a phosphate sponge can help. The sump with macro algae will certainly help by absorbing nitrogenous waste that hair algae needs, but you need to get the phosphates down.
