Your best bet is either a local buy or from Saltwaterfish.com invert sales. Unless someone were to just practically give one away you will pay an average $40 for the clam and overnight shipping averages another $40 for most individuals who are not a business.
I am in an area where clams are common and the lowest I see them priced is $35 so even with shipping Fedex @ $45 overnight (I wouldn't personally ship a clam any other way) you would still be better off going with Saltwaterfish.com store and getting a couple clams and free shipping.

Buy at your LFS and you will save money and be able to pick out what you want. I picked up a very nice ORA Ultra Grade Crocea for $45 at my lfs and was able to pick form 30 to find the one I wanted.

From what I've read, try to get a medium sized one. It will have a much better survival rate. It may cost you more up front, but then you're not buying a second to replace the little one that didn't make it.

yeah go with one at least 4" way better survival rate than those little 1" ones
try to look around online and see if you find some good places. i like purchasing them online since they have some better colors and patterns than the ones the LFS orders. ora has some nice stuff but youll have to ask your lfs if you can look through their stuff to find the one youd like... plus i dont think theyre going to come in 4"+ sizes

I have bought 2 clams that were 1 and 1.5 inches and both are doing great and have grown substantally. They are now about 3 and 2 inches. Great colors and great growth. I do reccomend buying one that is aquaculutred. Good luck. I also reccomend buying one from your LFS as colors vary greatly and are hard to capture in photos with most cameras. Also be sure to look from above not from the side when making your selection as from above there true colors show.

Advanced Aquatics in Schaumburg. They have a nice selection of ORA Maximas and Croceas.
