Does anyone have any tips to help tidy up my wiring and piping mess ? I have :-
- pump wire for my skimmer
- 2 wires for my lights
- UV filter wire
- UV pump wire
- Sump return pump wire
- Eheim filter wire
- Filter tubes and all other plumbing
I'm so envious of my friends Red Sea aquarium which has just one wire

Have you checked Lowes or HD for things like cord management systems??? I found some zip tie deals, that have a little plastic mounting pad that comes with adhesive pads, but the pads didn't work good, but I found I could run a screw through the mounting pad and then the zip tie goes through the little eyelets of the mounting bracket and you could then secure your wiring. I don't have a pic handy, but if I get to Lowes tomorrow I'll find them and take a pic and post what I'm referring too.....

you guys would laugh me right off this forum if you saw my fishroom, its currently a wiring nightmare. Got wires streched accross the room to my light and heater on my QT tank, one power strip is sitting on the concrete floor, power strips plugged into power strips....
Seriously I'm the poster child for how not to run electrical wires.
Currently working on running anew run off a seperate breaker on new plugs and switches on the other side of the room so that I don't have this problem.

Hey, that is what it looks like for my tank. It is horrible living in an apartment and having a sw tank and not being able to add extra outlets.

I have to agree with living in an apartment making it hard....I've been fortunate, that all my builds have been from scratch and I've been able to gut and add electrical outlets as I need or dream about....Plus my brother-in-laws are electricians, so what I can't do, I can usually get 1 of them to do it for me......

Yeah I'd just look into some zip ties and bell clips/cable clips. I don't let apartment living stop me....I've got a plan to run a dedicated circuit to the new system. Fortunately the panel is right on the next wall over on the kitchen side of the wall. Gonna install a new breaker and junction box on the dinning room side of the wall just bellow the panel. It will be easy to fish the line that way. Then I'll run some conduit around to the tank. That way when we move I can easily take the conduit down and just install a new outlet in the junction box on the wall bellow the panel. Pretty sneaky huh???
