Witch media?

Hi I have a wisper power filter on my 72 gal fowlr.The model is 3. What media should I use? I am not to fond of activated carbon.

I didn't think you had any choices other than those little cartridge thingies--which already have carbon in them--(which is why very few saltwater hobbyists use them). If they do have some type of extra resevior then I would use something biological like stars or ceramic rings, or the plastic balls, whatever will fit in there.
Is this your only source of filtration on this big tank???????? If it is be very careful about stocking--you'll need to stay VERY conservative.

The tetra tec filters give more choicesin that area {the makers of the whisper power filters}and you can put a heater in the in the filter as well.It is a wet-dry and creates a pulsating output effect.They also make uv unit dont know if that ca be in the unit itself.
