What kind of stand? For the most part once the water is added there souldn't be any wobble. Just need to ensure level.

I've got a thick pad, but it is a stock oceanic stand 36x18. And it does have a little wobble.

Its not recommended to have one on carpet because as the tank settles into the pile and foam it can become unstable and not level. I have one on carpet and it was suggested that I cut out a space for the tank and put down tile or something solid. Instead I screwed the stand to the floor this way if I decide to break it down, the screws will back out and other than a depression in the carpet there wont be any alterations to my floor. JMO.

hmmm, that might be an idea, I can't cut out the carpet, (apartment) But a tornio (they didn't edit the spanish word hehe) might work... You think a regular drill will cut through a 2 by 4 and anchor into concrete?

A regular drill will bore into a 2x4 but without a concrete bit it wont do anything but burn out when you hit it.

If you have a concrete floor and are on a slab ,you probably have a uneven floor .Use shims under you support members to stop it from rocking and to get tank level.

I'm not on a slab per say, it is the third floor. And a they lifted prefabed sections onto the frame. (i'm assuming)

Probably flexi-core or 2" of light weight poured over wood.In either case all you have to do is shim under support members.I would put down square bases in the corners like 3/4" plywood and then shim on top of that.
