Just got an ok from the "boss" to spend some money... Ive really wanted to better my flow, i have a 46g bow front with a korilia2 and 1 and about 300gph filter. I want an mp10 but im nervous to spend so much on one thing.
Ive tried adding more powerheads but all my lps seem to get stressed... Will an mp10 be to much for my lps? Should i just jump in and get one? I would hate to spend so much and it be a stress and have to start moving corals...
Who has one and what do u think, will this be a good purchace for me or am i wasting my money?
Also will 1mp10 be sufficient enough flow or will i still need more powerheads?
Thanks for the imput

I've heard that you Probably will be disappointed with the mp10 in a larger aquarium. It doesn't put out as much flow, but it does do a good job of moving water for its size. It guarantee that you have enough flow for just one powerhead, try to purchase an mp40.

So 1mp10 wont be enough? What about an mp10at one end and a korilia 1 at the other? (its only a 3ft tank) i curently have about 1300gph if u add up all my powerheads and filter output and the mp10sais its up to 1575gph

3days in so far i love it, it has gotten really quiet although you can still hear it at 100% it is much louder than any other pump ive had. I dont mind the noise as i have a hang on skimmer that is much louder and i only keep it on reef crest about three ticks from the max( at max it will bend my kenya tree at the other end of the tank right over). Ive had to move my torch coral as it "exploded" and seems to be loving the flow, the torch did some damage to some sps so its now in the corner of the tank rather than the middle. Every thing seems to love it although i think the fish where adjusted to a constant flow, it kind of freaks them out when it surges lol.

Congrats!!!!!! I think you hear them a bit more than your other PH due to the motor on the outside of the tank, but look at it this way.....Your other PH isn't pushing nearly the flow the MP10 is, and minimum heat transfer.........Your other PH can't say that!!!!!!
