i could eat a whole meatlovers extracheese pizza and not gain a thing.
i burn calories faster than everclear. i am however shooting to be at 150 by the end of summer. i eat like 5 times aday and take a protein shake morning and night (please no dirty jokes...spare yourself the dignity)
Im not trying to get super buff disgusting cant wash my neck big... i just want to fill out my skin...ha
i saw this guy at the gym yesterday....he was so big his shorts were like perma stuck in his ass crack....kind of disgusting

Good luck aarone. Here's my two cents. Keep a spreadsheet of everything you eat with a breakdown of the protien, carbs and fat content and others too if you are really detailed. Not sure of your age, but assuming you're young. Eat eat and eat. No junk food, just really good quality food. You'll have to play around with your caloric intake, but you'll probably feel like all you do is eat. 5 meals a day is not bad, but I'd bump it up to 6-7. If you eat enough quality food and workout hard and smart, you'll grow really fast. You will add some fat but that can be cut later. I wish I would have known this when I was in hs and lifting. I never grew much even though I lifted alot, but my diet was terrible.
Best of luck.

I was like that then went to college-its easy to put on 55 pounds after four years of drinkin:)
on the serious side- when you are working out do more sets with less reps and more weight. I was able to put on 12 pounds from january to march by doin that after not lifting for almost a year. bulk will start to amass in no time. and as stated before keep eatin. And most guys with no necks get that way from steroids or living in the gym. If you have any questions i trained with a world champion powerlifter and i am close to being an nsca certified strenght and conditioning trainer(need to come up with the money for the test).

I have a deal for you...you can have the 15 lbs I'm trying to loose. !! DEAL? :D
Funny how people have the opposite problem. My grandpa could NEVER keep weight on. No matter how hard he tried.
I just started getting back on the treadmill and working up on that and trying to figure how much strength training to put in there. Gym isn't an option now, wish it were, a new Golds just opend here, looks nice.
What about swimming? I was swimming forever until several months ago I got a horrible respirtory thing that wouldn't go away. Now I have to work back to that.
good luck, I am glad you are doing it the safe way....some of those other things are just to dangerous.
:)

i have always had a hard time keeping weight on. enjoy it while you can! after the big 4-0 it seems to just creep up on ya. i was about a year ago 5'6 110 lbs soaking wet and within that year i got up to 122! dont know how it happened it just appeared. i quit trying (maybe that did it) i used to drink the shakes and even get fast food for lunch everyday (did that for a few weeks several years ago) eat at anything i desired and whenever i wanted. and nothin, couldnt gain an ounce and was at about 105 at that time. now i have a "beer belly" and need a new wardrobe:D

damn, aaron, that girl is FAT. She NEEDS to lose some weight... seriously. That kind of lard is unhealthy. Sheesh.
I've got the same problem as you. Not matter how much I eat, I can't seem to gain weight. I have weighed 119 for at least 5 years now.

aarone, where did you find that pic of me?

Really, she thinks she is FAT? NOT!! She also looks healthy. That matters more than anything. I can't stand to see unhealthy very skinny girls, because you know they aren't doing good things for themselves. My cousin was one of them.
She almost died from thinking she was too fat.

The best way I have found is like someone said above. Do heavy weight and less reps. Take for example bench press do the most weight you can do eight times one set. Then go to a weight you can only do 5 times then to a weight you can only do 3 times and do a couple sets of 3 with that weight. You have to push yourself on the weight or you will not gain mass. I have worked out on and off for a long time and I have tried different ways. Using this method I can usually gain about 10 pounds of muscle in less than 2 months. I'm about 5'10 and 170 now when I am working out I usually get up to around 185 my goal has allways been 190 but I haven't ever stuck with it that long. I have actually been trying to get myself back in th gym here lately

Eat boiled chicken everyday (10 pounds a week) Drink two gallons of milk a week and eat lots of veggies and you will become the desired weight you want and you will be doing it a health way. I agree on more wieght less reps. Also, lose the protien shakes, excess protien just sits in your liver and can do more damage then good. If you do want to take protien drinks, take isopure drinks. they sell them at GNC buy a case keep it in the fridge have on in the morning and one before you work out. You can take creatine to start the process if you want just use the suggested amount and use a product called STAC. That's just my two cents and that's what worked for me!! Good luck.
