Worm - Featherduster?

I got some live rock delivered to me on Monday and after putting it in my tank I found something that looked like a some sort of worm - it is about 1 1/2-2 inches and it off white in color with brown/tan ends and it moves around the tank (its moved several inches since Monday) and it would stretch out like a worm. I couldn't get a good picture of it through the tank so I scooped it out with a fish net to try and get a better look at it. Upon taking it out it burst open with this whitish almost intestine looking stuff. I put it back in the tank and it is still moving slightly - does anyone have any idea what it is and what happened to it when it "burst"? Is it dead now??

not sure what it is, but it's not a featherduster, i can tell you that much. Sorry i wasn't more helpful, but if you do a search for "hitchikers", there's a thread that lists the most common ones, and has pics of them. That may help.
