Worm ID Please

Just bought some live rock and it was covered in these. I think they are bristle worms but Im not sure. Just to clarify it is all red and pinkish with a black blotch and spikes all along it.

After touching it the spikes spread out into bristles, could this be why its called a bristle worm

(If my guess is correct)

Yup, a bristleworm. My guess is you tried to remove it from "whatever" with tweezers? It was was spewing blood... it's ripped in half.

HAHA

actually the blood wasn't coming from where I picked it up, it was coming from where each of the bristles were coming out? I didn't have to yank on it either, it was just sitting on top.
So, is there any way to remove all of them before I put the rock in my tank, other than physically looking for each one and pulling them out, which Im guessing would be next to impossible with the super porous rock
