Worm in the rock

I was moving some rock around in my tank to add some new rock when I noticed a worm approx. 1 1/2 inches long and had what looked like many appendages....Couldn't catch him to get him out...Should I be concerned?

Probably a bristtle worm. Common and beneficial hitchhikers. Did he look something like this?

MAN! and i thought that was a baby bristle star when i saw the arms coming from a hole in the rock

No need to worry, they are a great part of the cleanup crew, and they don't waste any time if something is dead they will come right out and take care of it. They are normally nocturnal so if you want to see them use a red lens on a flashlight at night.
