I just got some live rock and it came in a nice styrofoam container. When I started taking the live rock out, I found a lot of these worms. They're red-orange in color and range from one to four inches long. I'd rather not have them in my tank but I wanna know what they are and how dangerous.

looks like a bristle worm.
they are safe but DO NOT touch them. they will get these nasty little hair like things into your skin and it will hurt and sting all day long.
