Would a 55 gallon have to cycle if.......

I took the all the water from my 37 gallon and put it into it? In other words, would 37 gallons of cycled salt water and 18 gallons of uncycled water have to cycle again in a tank?

Small fast cycle probably. Nothing huge and long.

What about sustrate? live rock? Has all been transfered to 55? If you put uncured live rock or substrate in with cycled water, the cycling process will be faster but still take place. Do your water checks and you can determine when everything is all right. If all of these items were transferred to the 55, then, to be on the safe side, you could slowly start puting fish in the tank in about a week. Again do the water checks. Good luck!Good luck.

I'd say transfering from your other tank into a bigger one would have a small fast cycle but it should be long or that big. I'd say a week if you end up having a cycle at all.
