would a lion and a clown trigger work in a 90 gallon?

Definitely not. Both fish need a much larger tank, and 9 out of 10 times, the trigger will shred the lion.

I would disagree with this. Assuming you're referring to P. Volitans, a full grown specimen would be cramped in a 90. You're talking about a fish that will grow to the size of a football with a fin spread of over 15 inches. While not terribly active, they need room to move about and a 90 doesn't afford this. If you've truly seen full grown specimens, you probably wouldn't think a 90 would be sufficient. There are smaller species that would do well long term in a 90.
As for the clown trigger. No. Large/active/predatory.

actually im fully aware of how big both fishes get
and Ive seen many full sized lions
and didnt mean that they could live in a 90 gal throught out there life but most of it
and on the clown I didnt agree on putting it in a 90
if somebody would tho its gonna make itself the only fish left in the tank

I have to agree. Back when I had my volitan, it was in my 75 for 9 months (got it as a small juvenile) and it was already too large for that size tank.

I would not mix a lion with a clown trigger, your just lighting a fuse on a bomb and waiting for it to go off.

As already stated, numerous times...a Volitan is too big to put in a 90gal tank. Listen to those of us with personal experiance.
A Humu will do the same thing as a Clown. It's not about how mean they are, it's about you trying to throw them into a tiny tank and expect there not to be territorial issues.

Forget the lion and go with the clown. The lion will just sit there and eat. A Clown will entertain you for hours.

You cannot have a volitan, however you could have a smaller lion, such as an anteneta, radiata, or any of the dwarves, and YOU CANNOT HAVE A LION WITH A TRIGGER, the triggers are just to mean and will end up shredding the lion's fins, this combination is possible.. just nt in a 90g. you would have to have a really large tank for that combo.
sorry =(

30 xtra high,
Who buys a full-size trigger!?!? Obviously it would only be a few inches and he would have plenty of time to upgrade. You are the wisest fool that I know. Quit trying o soun so smart and let our hobbiest explore all of his posibilities. And don't give him that crap abou think about he fish! If you really felt that way, you would release all your fish into the ocean so, that they could live long and friutful lives in the wild where they belong. Ya big dummie!

why have a fish if your not going to have it its full life, from researching i have seen and heard that if you feed fish properly they grow very quick

Define feeding properly......If you're refering to power feeding ( feeding fish several times a day) that's is very unhealthy for the fish and your system. Your fish will get fat and have a heart attack and die.

no not like that, like everyother day mixing up the diet, not feeding once a week the same silversides or kill but adding manythings
