Just wondering we have a puffer and I like the frogfish but its smaller so I wonder if when the puffer starts to grow if he would eat it. Or is it too big? What is the basic size guide for the puffer not to eat a fish? This one is new and small maybe 3 inches but since it can get pretty large just thought I should know.

Wow what a great question. I actually thought of these two fish many moons ago so I will give my my persoanl reasons for NOT having them together REMEMBER these are just my reasons. I am sure the experts will direct more wisly
Feeding the Porcupine pufferfish includes whole shellfish , prawns, shrimp, and bivalve molluscs you also should leave on the shell which help the puffer digest its meal your husbandry needs to me at the top of its game with the mess made.
Now this is what I was worryied about adding the Frog fish. They have three extended dorsal fin spines on their heads. The first dorsal spine is modified as a fishing lure to attract fish
The lure consists of the illicium (the spine) and the esca (the bait), and may resemble a worm, crustacean, or small fish. So the puffer may confuse the spine for food and that is not a good thing for both
As always IMO
