how will i know if its eating frozen when i buy it online (i will never shop at a lfs for fish again)

Well, just put in the comments part that you want it already eating frozen. You may not know what type of frozen food, but as long as you have a variety it shouldnt matter. It also helps to buy a larger one, so that if he doesnt eat right off the bat that he'll live for a week or two before you have to worry.

Post a pic of your tank, I might be interested in buying it. Ha! Naw, just take a deep breath and relax. There has been good advice posted so far and you need to just give him a couple of days. Call the LFS and ask if he was eating and what. Maybe they will help you out and take him back. Never hurts to ask.

well, if they didnt even have it eating or whatever, and you explain your situation and are NICE and I mean VERY NICE (if your LFS is anything like mine) then they should give you store credit. NO LFS will give u a refund in cash that I know of, but many will give store credit.

Why cant u post a pic? Did he look thin when u bought him? If so, u should have NEVER bought him. Did u ask what he was eating? Did u see him eat? Those are all things u should do before u buy a fish. Sorry to hear about all this.

I cant post a picture becuase a) crappy camra b) i cant just go and get it developed. What do i do if he dies, should i put him in a bag and bring him to the lfs where i got him? Is that what lfs mainly do? Yes, he did look thin, he was eating ghost shrimp, they got him on wedsneday.

Do u have a local petsmart or *****? They should have freshwater ghost shrimp for about 99 cents a piece and that will at least get him through until you can wean him onto frozen. IF he DOES die, net him out and place him in a ziploc bag all closed up with no water and place him in the freezer to preserve his body until you can bring him to your LFS. But lets look on the bright side, and HOPE he makes it. One thing about this hobby: your BOUND to make mistakes, I have made about every one imaginable in my 6 years of this hobby, and u just gotta learn to suck it up, and learn from your mistakes.

yes, i got ghost shrimp, and if he does make it through the night......it should go on national television. My last lion i had did the samething then in a couple of hours.....dead.

So you've done this before? I dont mean to sound rude, but did ur last lion look skinny too when u bought him? Shouldnt u have realized that u dont buy skinny fish? Not to sound offensive or anything, but please explain!
