I have a 12 gal Nano Cube. It's been running for about 15 months. Currently I have LS, LR, a few hermits, snails and one little bitty blue neon goby. All other fish have been transferred to my 90 gal. I want a purple firefish soooo bad. Would I be pushing it if I were to add a pair of firefish???

i would use extreme caution when putting 2 firefish in the same small tank
why not just one?

The guy at LFS said they do better in pairs. I am open to getting just one.

I personally have2 firefish (Flame-On and Flame-Off) in a 55 BUT they are NEVER more than 6 inches apart EVER! I think you would be ok IMO

Hey, don't bite my head off... I don't listen to LFS!! That's why I posted the question. I didn't think it would work in such a small tank. Thanks anyways...

I agree with tuningvis I would go for it, personally I think if you add them at the same time they should be fine, just watch your levels when adding 2 fish to a small tank at the same time

I'm not sure if I will do it or not. It seems like it might be a little crowded. I just didn't want a lonely firefish. I did have a firefish last summer but lost him due to hurricane. He didn't seem to swim alot. Just hung out in a cave and came out once in a while (especially at feedin time) Thanks for all your advise!!!
