i was to scrape all the coraline off the back glass of my tank.... ive been wanting to do this for a few days now, for some reason i want to see it clean again, and see how fast it comes back. how much would it hurt if i was to scrape it all back down to clean glass?

just cleaning the coraline off the glass probably wouldn't hurt at all...but in my situation moving everything around to get to it may be problematic. I let coraline cover the sides and front of my refugium then scrape it off about once a month...great way to "seed" new coraline growth.

I scrape the back of my tank all the time. My back is painted blue, and I like to see it. However when u start to mve thing is when a problem happens, I lost 2 corals last week redoing my rock structure. For some reason though the algea on my sides of the tank is never purple its always green :(

Heres the problem. You scrape the huge amounts of corallineon the back glass - within a week - it's basically covered the other 3 pieces of glass - so you're now scraping the front and sides. For that reason, I just let it go.
