Ok we are moving to Michigan in September and i can finally get a big tank it will be around 80g fish only with live rock and sand. I would like a wet/dry trickle filter I do not have the time to build my own so I been browsing the net here's the brands I found I will be getting the 125g version so I can have more filter power. ........the Brands i found are eshopp, pro clear, CPR. Are any of these good also if I missed a nice affordable brand let me know
?I am looking for a nice sturdy stand to most seem fleamsy to me and I have no time to build my own any suggestions? Finally if there is any brand or product you like let me know I'm starting from scratch so I pretty much need it all.

Welcome!!!!! Best advice I can give you, as most will around here; is don't be in a rush and settle for something, because you don't have the time.....

If you can't find a suitable, sturdy stand to your standards then the only recourse is to take the time to build your own. You could however buy a stand and reinforce it to make it to your liking, but you will give up some space inside the stand as well....
As far a the wet/dry trickle filter? What are you true intentions or plans for the tank? FOWLR, Reef, FO? I personally wouldn't purchase a wet/dry trickle filter, but go with the more traditional method of a sump. If your check out melevsreef dot com, you will have a better understanding and idea of what I'm referring too....There are dedicated sumps out there premade and available and will serve you much better IMO.....HTH

Fish only with live rock and sand. From what I heard and researched on a wet/dry filter is best for this situation and sumps are more for reefs. I might be wrong. Also it won't be for another 2 months before I get anything that's why I'm doing research on diffrent filter systems and other equipment.

Welcome!
I lived in MI for 14 years, what part are you moving to? You may be able to find a local fish store that will build you a stand for a relatively descent price or at least recommend someone who will.
Best advise that I can give you is get your stand first and that way you can figure out how big of a filter you can fit under the stand. Wet/Drys are ok for fish only tanks but I think most experts would still recommend installing a protien skimmer. You will have to clean the Bio media just like you'd clean the filter media in any canister filter. I would stay away from the Wet/Dry filters that have the built in protien skimmers though. It limits your options if you decide you want to upgrade later down the road which you probably will one day.
I agree with Acrylic51, he gives good advice and has been a great help to me on some things. A sump is the best bet in any situation in my opinion. Not that wet/drys and canisters or hang on the back filters don't work. You just have more flexibility and options with sumps.
