Would this be too much flow??

I have a mag 3 used as my return... I need to get some powerheads... should I just get 1 mj 1200 or should I get 2 mj1200 or should I get 1 mj1200 and 1 mj 900 ... there is not much of a price difference btwn the 1200 and 900 so i figured for a few more dollars i'm going to do the 1200 and 900 just get 2 1200's... or do i just need 1 1200?

How big of a tank do you have and what do you intend to keep in it?

oh yeah... haha.. whoops... sry... I have a 29g... I have 130w pc so I can keep a lot... right now I am just going to have a few shrooms and zoos with a few fish.. just for the first year..

Remember Shiby...you need to turn your tank over 15-20 times per hour. So for your 29 gallon (round up to 30) that's between 450-600 GPH. That's all pumps, PHs, skimmers, filters etc. If it were me, I would go with the bigger one in case you decide to upgrade (which you probably will) this hobby is so addicting :hilarious

Everyone always talks about tank turn over and they just include the tank volume.
Question should the sump and fuge volume be include to the total water turn over? Granted the water volume is much lower in the tank with LR.

actually that isn't everything added in because a mj 1200 is rated at 295 so if i had 2 mj 1200 and a mag 3 for my return i'm well over 600
