Would this list work for a 10g?

I think that sounds like it would be good, but in my opinion, 250 watts is a little too much for a 10 gallon. Thats 25 watts per gallon.

The watts per gallon rule of thumb is rubbish.
I've known people with 300 watts on their 10 gallons and their corals and anemones were beautiful.
I'd wait for some more input. Sounds good to me!

Hmmm... Maybe ONE clown would be a better idea... Now that I think about it...
Maybe someone who has a reef will input on the lighting.

I also believe the lighting is overkill, and could cause some heat issues. I have 96 wattson my 15 gal and have several sps frags in it doing well. I think 2 clowns will be fine also.

Coral and anemones?
Thanks

imo no
i have tried 10gal with coral and fish. Not a long term setup.
2 clownfish in 10 gal a little small. And the filter setup is hard.
If you do not have sump will be hard to steup skimmer,p/h,light,exc.
And the lights.... 250w on 10gal is ok but the heat will kill you.
If you use it, it will need to be off the tank like 20in from top.
With out a chiller it will over heat if it is not...
ok ok i know people will say you do not need a skimmer, with w/c
you will not need but with 10gal it is hard to keep w/q with a lot or big w/c.
and flow hard to find p/h that will work in 10gal must get v small ones
Most people say 10x and in 10gal will belike 100gph...
But with that flow fish will be stress out no spot with lowflow to sleep.
And l/r most people say 1lbs per gal ok 10lbs in 10 gal no swiming for the fish
I say go bigger on tank or get a setup like a nano 12 of 26 gal.
And hold off on the anemones intell tank is running say 6m.
If at all i say no anemones in nano if thay do good will out grow tank.
ok this is omo

I think two clowns is a bit much, how about one clownfish and then a clown goby. For an anemone you could do a rock/flower anemone 'cuz they stay small and you could even keep a anemone shrimp/crab with it. (clowns won't host it) i agree that 250watts is overkill, you will have heat and algea problems and your corals may bleach. This is a pic of my rock/flower anemone and anemone crab.

Clowns grow to 4 + inches and hosting anemone grow to a foot or larger, the corals will grow and get stung by the anemone, the lighting will be too hot unless you take precautions and the water quality would be next to impossible with that bioload....impossible, especally for an inexperianced hobbiest and nearly for an experianced one.....
IMO, you most likely will end up just killing some beautifull animals....even if you start with very small critters, they will grow if their lucky enough to, but then what,,,,

I would upgrade the tank if you want corals and an anemone. 10g is too small for a large anemone by itself, not to mention another coral. In a larger tank you can get two percula clowns too. If you want to stick to 10 gallons then 1 percula would be fine. Do you have the tank or lighting or stand yet?
