If you had a great deal would you go bigger?
Say from a 90 gal tank to a 150gal.?? Total package deal.
I have a great deal but don't know if I should go bigger..
Just was wondering what people would do.
Thanks for your time.

Bigger is always better as long as your budget can afford the extra lighting, the extra salt for water changes, the extra sized pumps, larger power heads for circulation, larger skimmer, more sand, more rock, more fish, more corals, more clean up crew and more electricity.
But it's more stable and looks nicer.

I like the size of a 90g... it's not too small and it's not too big. Big tanks have more headaches and more costs associated with them. I had two 240g aquariums at one time and it was a hassle keeping up with maintenance. Not to mention the electric bill.

I'll take my 120h over the 90 g, I've had both, love the extra depth from front to back.

There are a lot of reasons to go bigger. And a few reasons not to go bigger. But bigger is a relative concept. You can have a lot more volume (gallons), but not a good footprint. Find the footprint of the tank you want and go from there.
You said it was a package deal, so that leads me to believe that it is a standard tank (not custom), but I could be wrong. What size (dimensions) tank are you thinking about.
I would go wider and longer before I went taller. Sometime the height of the tank can really cause problems. If its too tall you then have lighting issues and maintenance issues (really hard to reach the bottom of the tank with or without a ladder on a 110g show).
There are some really nice looking 5' tanks. I am a big fan of a 30" wide tank.

Yes indeed! Footprint is everything.
FWIW, if you go with a tank that's more than 24" in height, it will be harder to clean, as you'll likely need a little step stool to reach the bottom.

Bigger is always better if costs and time are not an issue, but dont go for the deal. I went for the deal and had my first 115 gal tank burst and dump everything all over my downstairs after a 6 week cycle. Was a good deal at the time but end result costs, I could of had a 500 gal ATM.

I like a 24" tall tank, but I would definitely like more depth. 30" seems pretty ideal in a larger system. Lots more opportunities for aquascaping.
I dunno, I was thinking of a short 200g. (6ft) for my future house. That's all still way up in the air though.
