A tiger pistol shrimp (I have a yellow watchman that has been looking a little lonely) or 3 sexy shrimp?
I think the sexy shrimp are hysterical due to their constant wagging, but I am afraid I would never see them, so I would probably throw them in my little 3 gallon.
But I love the pistols (I love hearing the clicking when they snap their crusher claw) and I already have a watchman, so... why not?
I can get the tiger for $28 or the three sexy shrimp for $13 apiece..
What do you guys think?

I say sexy shrimp. Personally I don't want anything that digs in my substrate other than burrowing snails and small critters.

How big is the tank? If nothing will harass them then get the sexy shrimp. They are great to look for and a treat to see in a large aquarium (just because you'll see them infrequently most likely).
Honestly, buy the sexies this time but you know you're going to buy the pistol on the following order. You know you will.

I would keep the sexy shrimp in my little 3 gallon picotope. I would love to put them in my 30, but I don't trust my flame angel nor the longnose hawkfish I am planning on adding in a few months' time..
And you are probably right that I will end up buying both.
And I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU. My fish tank is NOT dependent on my wallet's contents.
...It's dependent on my credit card's spending limit

And I know sexy shrimp prefer anemones, but is it an issue for them not to have one if there isn't necessarily any other creature to threaten them?

I went out and bought the sexy shrimp along with a nice new acro

I have 2 sexys in my 14 nano. They are my favorite tank inhabitants. Always out on display and shaking their junk. The wife and daughter love them too.
