i know there are many types of wrasse's, but generally are they reef safe?
are there any I should avoid

There are alot of non-reef safe wrasses.Banana,dragon,bird,hardwicke,formosa,red corris,harlequin tusk,lightning,and paddlefin...that's just some of them.
The most popular reef safe wrasses include;sixline,yellow corris,fourline,all fairy wrasses,possum wrasse...

Hiya,
Got to see a clown wrasse....gorgious orange and white markings with a blue tail. Unfortunately, or fortunately considering the price, it is not reef safe.

Just got a six line last night. Awsome fish the way he darts in and out of the coral and rock. He is reef safe.
